What and WHY: What is the topic/interest that you’re writing about

The topic I am writing about is Islam and how its portrayed as a negative thing especially towards woman and young girls. This topic matters to me because I myself face the challenges as a young Muslim woman and I understand what the others go to. It interests me because I want to educate people so they won’t be ignorant enough to follow what others say and make their own opinions on the Muslim society by themselves. Also muslim girls face alot of things day to day in our society.

About my topic

I’ve always been interested in this topic because it involves me and I face the issues every single day. From people starting at me because I cover myself to people’s misconceptions about the religion. This topic is a big part of my life and because my religion is portrayed as a hateful, violent religion but in reality Islam is all about peace and being pious and no violence and loving one another for the sake of god.

Examples/Favourites: List some of your favourite things that relate to this topic

Some of my favourite things about this topic are that it’s a very beautiful religion and there are many people that show that in this world that we live in today. Many people find their lives to be in a terrible situation and they find the religion Islam and convert and that’s a great thing because we don’t care about race and where you come from, as Muslims we still respect you and welcome you to our religion. Islam is the 2nd fastest growing religion and that makes me smile and makes me want to change how people look at it.
