What is the diffence between a niqab, hijab and burkha? Answer: A niqab is a hijab worn ninja-It is the hijab scarf, that covers the nose and mouth too, and is like a long dress that also covers the body. A hijab is just the head scarf that covers the hair, ears, neck, and usually the front chest area. A burqa is the long sheet-like covering that covers the whole body completely, even the face which only has a small grill-like area to be see out of. Q: What is Islam for woman?
Woman in Islam deals with the attitudes and beliefs about the roles and responsibilities of women within the religion of Islam. The complex relationship between women and Islam is defined by both Islamic texts and the history and culture of the Muslim world. According to the Qur’an, the central religious text of Islam, women are equal to men before God. A woman under Islamic law is vested in all the rights which belong to her as an independent human being. She is entitled to a share in the inheritance of her parents. No one – not even her father – can force her to marry against her expressed consent. And a woman does not cease to be an individual after marriage. Muslim marriage is a civil act. Rights of the husband over the person of his wife are restricted by law and do not extend to her property, her dowry or her earnings. The marriage contract is drawn at the behest of the woman and she can add to it such conditions as she deems necessary to safeguard her interest – and they are legally binding on the husband.
